Meet-N-Greet

Join us on June 2nd, 2013, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm at the JEA outdoor pool for a meet and greet social. Parents and Campers will have the opportunity to meet their summer camp counselors and catch up with old friends, as well as make new ones. This also gives you the opportunity to ask any last minute questions that you may have. We will provide all 2013 JEA Camp Savannah campers who attend the event with a nice cool ice cream treat!

Field Trips

Throughout the summer, older campers (kindergarten and up) will travel to exciting Savannah area locations for field trips (see your camp calendar for dates). Please check your weekly update as to specifics concerning location and gear needed for field trips and overnights. Field trips are prearranged and may be subject to change.

On field trips days it is essential that children be on time. Children who arrive after 9:15 will not be able to participate in the field trip. When we go on field trips, you still need to
pack a lunch. We will not allow children to purchase lunches at the field trip
                                             destinations.

                                             On days when the older campers travel off-site, younger campers will participate in
                                             "stay-trips" with special programming, such as on-site magic shows and other
                                             fun activities.

 

Sleepovers

Overnights are exciting camp experiences that allow our older campers to get a feel for sleep-away camp while remaining close to home. These supervised evenings feature games, activities and programming in a fun, safe and supervised environment. In order for your child to participate in an overnight, you must have completed and signed the Waiver of Liability form. If you have any concerns or questions regarding Camp Savannah’s overnight program, please direct them to your child’s Senior Counselor.

We recognize that some children (and parents) are not ready for overnights, but want to
                                            come and get a "taste" of the fun. Parents are welcome to let their children join in on
                                            the fun until 9:00 pm if they prefer not to have their children stay the night.
